Dynamic Competition for Customer Memberships

Published in Journal of Economics & Management Strategy, 2024

We study a two-period membership market in which firms choose between short-term and long-term contracts. Short-term memberships emerge in equilibrium under general conditions, even when firms can price discriminate or offer switching incentives.

About the Restricted Three-Body Problem with the Schwarzschild–de Sitter Potential

Published in Nonlinear Dynamics and Systems Theory, 2021

We analyze the restricted three-body problem in Schwarzschild–de Sitter spacetime. Equations of motion are derived from the metric, equilibrium points are characterized, and orbital stability is established through eigenvalue analysis.

Strategy for Multiunit Organizations

Published in Working Paper, 2026

We analyze strategic decision-making in multiunit organizations under informational asymmetries. Optimal communication balances misalignment costs and managerial autonomy, favoring decentralization under high uncertainty.

The Endogenous Formation of Corporate Boundaries: Alignment, Heterogeneity, and Synergies in Multibusiness Firms

Published in Working Paper, 2026

We develop a formal model of multibusiness firms operating across heterogeneous environments. Integration is optimal when alignment benefits outweigh heterogeneity costs; otherwise, organizational separation emerges.

AI, Knowledge Hierarchies, and the Future of Organizational Design

Published in Working Paper, 2025

We study how artificial intelligence reshapes hierarchical organizations by altering delegation, expertise distribution, and decision authority. AI may complement or substitute human problem-solving depending on task structure.

Generalists: On the Organizational Benefits of Broad Skilling

Published in Working Paper, 2025

We study optimal task allocation when task importance is stochastic. High uncertainty favors generalized skill allocation, while specialization is reserved for tasks with the highest expected productivity.

Elements of Sub-Riemannian Geometry and Its Applications

Published in Master’s Thesis, Universidad de los Andes, 2022

This master’s thesis studies fundamental aspects of sub-Riemannian geometry and explores its applications to geometric control and dynamical systems. The work develops theoretical tools and illustrates how constrained geometric structures arise in applied mathematical settings.
